Note: The Ministry of Finance and Economy's consumer and fraud unit and the consumer association UFC have investigated how independent such sites are from the companies presented. 11 out of 12 sites were reminded about the regulations in force, since they were not respecting them. Five sites incorretly made the consumers believe that their selections of traders were exclusive. One privileged their trading partner that were paying for a better presentation. Packaging and post may or may not be included. The sites may be useful, but it is advised not to depend exclusively on them.

French insurance

Note that some of the major banks also propose insurances. Even though they propose insurances to customers without accounts in their banks, they do use the insurances as bargaining chips. Some banks are simply resellers of insurance companies' products, while others propose their own insurances.

Euroleader. Used to be cheap but can now be more expensive than a mainstream company like AXA. Unfriendly and obstructive when you want to cancel an insurance. Slow and inefficient handling of claims.

Maaf. One of the large insurance companies. They provides quotes online and call you back but will only insure if you go to one of their agencies; not by phone or Internet.

Matmut. One of the large insurance companies. Clients with non-French noclaims bonus are only considered if they go to one of their agencies.
MMA. One of the large mutual insurance companies. Bought Winterthur France.
